iPhone photos

Howdyho people. It’s been a while since my last post. I’ve been learning my ass of for several exams, of which I completed the last one yesterday. It was tough but I think I successfully completed them. Anyway, here’s a post about photos on the iPhone.

When I first got my iPhone 3G, about a year ago, I wasn’t really impressed by the build-in camera. Well, I’m still not impressed by the camera (mainly due to the lack of autofocus and some sort of exposure compensation), but there are several apps that make photography with the iPhone a lot of fun.

I mainly used  CameraBag. It had some great presets but was pretty slow and gave very little control on the outcome. Also, I needed several apps to do what I wanted: take a picture, edit it -sometimes in more than one app- and post it on the internet.

I wasn’t the only one who got frustrated by this so photographer Chase Jarvis created the Best Camera app that could do everything; take a photo, edit it and publish it. I’ve been using Chase’s app since it was released a couple of weeks ago, and I love it. If you’ve got an iPhone and haven’t tried it yet, go buy it now, it’s worth the price.

Especially the ‘share’ option is great; with just a few clicks (or rather ‘strokes’) the app uploads your picture to the bestc.am website (check out my bestc.am profile over here), email, Twitter and Facebook.

Oh, and by the way, it’s possible to stack the same effect. So if you want more contrast, just press the ‘contrast’ button a couple of times.
